Trey was able to attend many special events in the slow season to give him a great start and experience to bring to the 2008 season. He Attended the Snow Ball Derby in Pensacola, Florida and was able to attend Dale McDowell's driving school for the second time. We all especially Trey, would like to publically thank Dale McDowell for his interest in Trey, and to highly encourage anyone, young and old with no experience to the most experience to attend any classes or any class Dale is a part of. Dale brings experience, excitement, and qualities that make us very proud to be a part of Dirt Track racing.
The year 2007 was greater than any of our expectations! Trey brought home his 1st win just 12 days after his 16th birthday, Trey was very competitive for the rest of the season, Express RX decided to get in on all the excitement and gave Holland Motor Sports a great jumpstart at the beginning of the 2007 season, Many Thanks to our great sponsors, Express RX (owner Jim Reed) and all his helpful and courtesy staff for being apart of a great year in racing. In addition, Madison Carpet (owners Doug and Cheryl Stephens) for there help in keeping us running all year.
However most of all we want to Thank Trey's Uncle Ricky Holland, who brings with him many years of winning Super Late Model on dirt. Thanks for his encouragement and wisdom as well and many long hours that goes behind the scenes that makes Trey the racecar driver he is today.
Ricky has inspired Trey since he was a little boy, always letting him get involved in racing; weather it is at the racecar garage, or at the track. Ricky was always willing to teach Trey everything he could about racing, Trey’s love for racing has been bred into him, Trey’s grandfather Beecher Holland (deceased) also was well known at the track. left behind a legacy, He was an inspiration to us all, Trey never meet his grandfather, he died before Trey was born, but Trey has the Holland drive and love for racing running thru his veins.
We would also like to mention Skip Arp one of the best on dirt, for many words of wisdom and encouragement as well as keeping T-42 put together and on the track. Along with Ricky came Bill Barclay, he was a big part of Ricky's success in racing and has joined us now with knowledge and a willing to work hard behind the scenes as well and at the track. We also have a great friend and dirt track racer Randy Burrows, we would like to thank for his encouragement and guidance, but most of all for his friendship.
With each year comes more excitement as Trey gains experience and determination to be behind the wheel and on the track.
As this Season opens up, all we can say is "LET'S RACE IN 08"
THANKS!
